When Making Tortilla Chips Using Flour Tortillas...?

around 350-375 for the oil much like the temp for fried chicken also if you put a wooden skewer in the oil it should make little bubbles around it i usually just watch the chips though i don't think i've ever timed it for chewy/crisp i usually pull them out when they started to get pretty golden. remember they get a little bit more crispy when you let them sit a few minutes & like the person before me said i'd suggest poking a hole because the oil puff is just gross!
