Soldiers, are you respected when in uniform?

Some soldiers are given a lot of respect. People will stand on the bridge by the entrance of Fort Lewis in WA and hold up signs showing their respect while others will protest in the same spot. Sometimes people will walk up and shake my fiance's hand and then sometimes people will just walk up and say that they hate him for what he does. It's a matter of opinion but it's more good than bad for us. You can wear your uniform when you want you just have to go by the rules of being inside and outside with them on.
