Do you name your daughter after you (female)?

If your name is stacy michelle adams would you name your daughter stacy michelle adams? or stacy? why would it not be appropriate to put jr after it? also, can you still call him junior if he only has his father's first name. for instance his dad is steven alex jones, and your son is steven adam ross?
