My girlfriend gets upset when I do little things to show her i love her.?

Ive got this amazing girlfriend that i love with all of my heart. I met her when she came over on student exchange from new zealand and we have really gotten close, she is the most amazing girl i have ever met and im so proud that she is mine. She went back home last month. She has this website like myspace but its mostly her friends at home and i wanted to get an account so i could get to know her friends before i come to visit in the summer. I like to do little things to let her know that I love her and im always thinking about her even thought shes on the other side of the world... I left her a few messages that said something along the lines of "I love you with all of my heart babe, you mean the world to me and im so thankful that i have met you, i am the luckiest guy in the world" and she got upset and told me that thats for us to see and she didnt want her friends to see it and she dosnt like it when i leave long sappy comments... am i doing something wrong? opinions anyone?
