Please help me to pick which New York Hotel to Stay in. Have narrowed it down to two.?

Don't know where the Doubletree is. If it's downtown, I'm sure it will be fine. I've stayed at Doubletree in other cities. I do know where the Helmsley is and it is central to all the action, sights, shows, shopping and restaurants in Manhattan. Besides, Leona was such a character...why not stay there? It will be something fun to brag about.
